Please read our terms and conditions
(see below) before you subscribe

Subscribers will have access to ALL the following:

  • Our diary based on the smallholding where you and your children can follow all the highs and lows of us looking after all our animals and producing our own food - written to be as informative and educational as possible.
  • Full Glossary: all technical and scientific words are explained within the diary itself as well as there being a full A-Z glossary (at the back as it were...).
  • A search facility: our pre-populated A-Z search means if you are interested in specific content, e.g. predators, broody hens, etc you can look up all relevant diary entries containing that content. The 'search' will also indicate where you can find specific photos of animals or plants, etc plus outline the overall themes contained within the diary.
  • Animal sections: all animals on our smallholding (we have sheep, goats, pigs occasionally, five different types of poultry, rabbits and alpacas) have their own section on the website detailing what they are, why we keep them, how to look after them etc. All our breeding animals are named and so there will also be the opportunity to see specific animals as they give birth and then (through videos and photos) follow their young as they grow and learn to eat, drink and play (and goat kids REALLY know how to play...).
  • Polytunnel: a comprehensive guide to the Relaxed smallholding polytunnel including how it was built, an overall plan and a month-by-month overview.
  • Photo/video stories: galleries/turning books etc containing themed 'stories' to support other material on the site as well as being resources in their own right - examples include: life cycles, sheep with new born lambs, baby animals, feeding times, signs of spring... this is a section which will grow depending on subscribers' needs.
  • Food: an A-Z of food produced on the Relaxed smallholding plus an open invitation for subscribers to submit photos and descriptions of any food they have grown/reared themselves... this section may well become an extravaganza of food from all over the country, or indeed the world!!!
